The Leica Q has been in our list of best compact cameras for some time, even in spite of its luxury price tag. Like the original Q, the Leica Q has superb build quality. The handling is also a delight and the images look great at up to around ISO 6400. It’s a dream compact camera. I think the Leica Q2 is on to something worthwhile here.
The Leica Q2 is a great option if you need something small, sturdy and discreet for street and documentary photography. In the hand, the Leica Q2 feels almost exactly the same as its predecessor, which is to say extremely well built, with smooth, positive controls that are very well placed and pleasing to use.
The Q2 is also capable of recording movies in 4K (3840 x 2160) at 30fps, or Cinema 4K (4096 x 2160) at 24fps, eExtended ISO range from 50-50,000 ISO

A high-resolution 3.68MP OLED electronic viewfinder is featured for fluid and clear eye level monitoring and a rear 3.0″ 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD also affords straightforward playback and settings control.
This camera uses a bigger battery, the same one from the Leica SL that slides right into the bottom of the body. The memory card door is also accessible via the bottom.
